The River

On the banks of the river, the water does lapse,
At the time of the silent evening din.
Water flows past the jagged rocks, rather huge or thin.
On the peaceful water, swim ducks, looking for the evening grubs.
The croaky toad curiously watches on, amidt the mossy shrubs.

The fish swim in the water, glinting their colors in the setting sun.
The tadpoles and frogs, amazed, watch the fun!
The kingfisher, retires from his energetic jumping game,
The watersnake, who is’t so that tame!

The day is developing to night,
Setting is the sun, ever so bright.
Everything is lonely, feels so light.
Tomorrow is coming, don’t worry mate,
All the living beings, will be in a nice, energetic state.
